Summer Sounds on the Patio at Boston Public Market

The Boston Public Market is known for hosting a selection of local vendors and is a great spot to grab a drink or a bite to eat any time of year. But in the summer, their patio comes alive with music performances every Friday from 5pm-7pm. These performances are free and open to the public through the end of August.

Concerts in the Courtyard

Twice a week, you will find free concerts in the McKim Building Courtyard of the Boston Public Library. On Fridays at 12:30pm, enjoy a performance from a local musician, and on Wednesdays at 6:00pm see Berklee College of Music students take the stage for an hour.

The Lawn on D

Enjoy a summer evening on the Lawn on D in Boston's Seaport District. On the lawn you will find swings, lawn games, concessions, and on occasion - free live music! Check out their events calendar to find out when your favorite DJs and bands will be performing.

Harborwalk Sounds

Head over to the Institute of Contemporary Art, or ICA, on Thursdays this summer for live music performances by Berklee College of Music students. Overlooking Fan Pier Marina, this is a great spot to enjoy a show with a harbor view. Performances take place from 6pm-8:30pm on Thursdays and are free to the public.

Jazz in the Park

We love strolling along the greenway in Boston. It is a great place to grab a bite to eat from a food truck, take a ride on the carousel, and on Thursday nights, listen to live jazz music! Local musicians will be popping up in various locations along the greenway this summer for performances that are free and open to the public.

Revere Beach Summer Music Series

A short ride on the Blue Line (which is free through the end of August during the Sumner Tunnel closure) will bring you to Revere Beach. Spend the day in the sun and enjoy live music on Thursday evenings from 6pm-8pm along the beach. Artists cover a wide range of genres to appeal to all kinds of music fans, from country to Caribbean steel drums and everything in between. All performances are free and open to the public.

Loretta's Last Call

Grab your cowboy hats and boots and head to Loretta's Last Call by Fenway Park. This country bar has live music nearly every day of the week. Join them on Tuesdays and Sundays for line dancing!
